Triathlon

I DID IT!!! This past weekend I accomplished one of my goals for the summer! I finished a triathlon down in Pleasant Prairie WI. It was something I've always wanted to do, so this spring I started a 16 week training program and this past weekend did the tri! A great friend and old teammate from college and I ran it togeter. I acutally did better on my overal time than my original goal. I made the swim in the top 1/3 of my wave. I also did pretty well on the bike which was ALL hills, no lie. The wind out there was incredible too...felt like we were barely moving on the overpasses. On, the run we also did really well, ran 8 something minute miles and of course ran the whole way :) ! I was extremely hard...Im a little sore todoay, but it was so fun! I am very glad that I did it and plan to do it again next summer! Here are some pics of the swim....bike....run. I am on vacation the next 2 1/2 weeks, so the trip to the Chicago area for the tri was a great way to start it. Today and tomorrow its lots of packing since we leave then for the rest of the week to go camping and attend Country Thunder with friends. Have a great week everyone!
