sleepy boys....and summer fun

Here is how I found Jake and Jason the other day when I was in the kitchen cleaning up after dinner.....

Everyone here is doing great! Its been a bit since we've updated, but things are going well.

School and everything that goes along with it is accomplished. Jason took me out to celebrate the other night at a beautiful new restaurant. It was a great date night!

Other than that we are of course busy wedding planning and trying to enjoy some of the nice summer days. We have done a TON of gardening and landscaping this summer on our already very landscaped yard. It is now, however, much more to our liking. Jason (with some help from Rut) has done a great deal of work, and it sure has paid off. It looks great!

We are also getting the boat out as much as we can. It is wonderful for us that Jake loves the boat and loves the water. He rides very well on the boat when we cruise around, tube or ski. Mostly he curls up and falls asleep. When we park on the sand bar, he loves to go out of the boat and swim around. He doesn't have too much endurance yet, so we watch him close, but he sure seems to enjoy it!

He is such a "go with the flow" dog and enjoys doing just about anything, as long as he is with us. His only barks come from when we have to leave him at home when we are gone, or when he wakes up in the morning and is ready to come out of his room.

I think I should have taken off and pulled them around for a lap around the lake right about now, as these two snoozed....

Here's Jake pretty much swimming over the TOP of Jason on their way back to the boat from shore to go "potty". :)

Here is Jake relaxing with me "Katie style" on the boat, taking a snooze.

He is not always sure about jumping in, but loves to be as close to the water as possible!

Last weekend I had my one of my shower and bachelorette parties, given by my wonderful work peeps. It was a great time and night out with the girls. Thanks Stacie and everyone for a wonderful time!
