Catching up!

Hello everyone! Its been a long time, sorry about that. Crazy busy around here as usual. After Amanda's wedding we have still been busy and enjoying some summer weather. Rut took Jason and I down to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game the next weekend. We drove half way and then took the train. We had amazing seats (right next to the dugout and bull pen on the Cubs side in the front row :) We had a nice dinner on the way home also, got a little too much sun but it was a great day!

We spent a long weekend in LaCrosse where Jason had to work for a conference, but I had a chance to spend a lot of time with one of my best friends Emily. We went shopping, hung out at the beach and then went out one night with the boys along too. I haven't seen her that much since we lived together, it was amazing!

One of my closest childhood friends got married over July 4th weekend. Jason and I were excited to celebrate with Alison and John. It was a beautiful wedding. I was honored to stand up for her that weekend; it was fun to see some old friends again.

We have had many cookouts with friends and family this summer. The weather sure has been HOT here and Jake likes to be outside, so that is where we have spent a lot of our free time!

Jake is doing well and is keeping us busy that is for sure. He had his first adventure out on the boat over 4th of July weekend. He really enjoyed it. When we were kneeboarding or tubing, he was happy to either be sleeping below one of the spotters chairs or being held with his face in the wind. He also enjoyed swimming when we parked on the sand bar for a while. He is a good little swimmer and he is fast. He gets tired though, so we have to keep an eye on him pretty close. He is a little nervous to jump in off the boat edge yet, but when we bring him out, he is itching to get back in quickly. Here is a video and some pics of our day on the boat with Jake.
