Friday night we went down to "Fish Fry and a Flick" on the lakefront in Milwaukee. It was a fun time, they had food, drinks, entertainment and then when the sun went down there was a movie on a huge blow-up screen over the water on the lakefront. It was the first of about 10 I think that are happening Fridays over the rest of the summer/fall. We met up with a group of friends down there and then enjoyed the last of Bastille Days on the square downtown after the movie.
Saturday we spent the beautiful day our latest favorite way to spend any day off we have...on the boat. We spent more time on the sand bar where it seems like the place to be to swim, socialize and make new friends! This past weekend there was a band out on two floating pontoon boats anchored at the sandbar. They are a biweekly occurrence we found out and we look forward to seeing them again.
Also, last weekend our good friends Jon and Melissa came to visit with their three little girls. We had a great time with them at the Brewer's game on Saturday and then having some adult time after the game while the kids were with grandma and grandpa! :)
Sunday we all went to the zoo...the kids enjoyed the animals and we enjoyed spending time with all of them. We don't get to see them as often as we would like, but enjoy all the times we do get to spend together. Here are a couple pics from the zoo!
