California

I was in California with family for a long weekend this past week. We spent time time vacationing a bit before heading to Sacramento for my favorite California cousin, Ashley's wedding. She wed her sweetheart Michael, they are truely perfect for one another! We spent some time in SanFrancisco, there we visited the Golden Gate Bridge again, spent some time on the piers, and walked many hills!

We spent a day in Nappa Valley, wine tasting and enjoying the awesome history behind all of the wineries and their grounds. It was really neat how each vineyard had such a rich and unique history. One of the wineries we visited was started by the sam man who started Wolerchime Winery in Wisconsin.

Saturday, we went whitewater rafting down the American River. It was a beautiful trip, not as challenging as past adventures we have taken, but the ride was truely senic. The air was HOT and the water was COLD. It was mostly refreshing as we paddled and maneuvered our way down the rapids.

The wedding was beautiful...as was the bride. It was at a bed and breakfast in the moutain hills a few miles outside of Sacramento. Many pictures on the pics link, some a little dark but are still cute.

We spent Sunday with family at a AAA baseball game in Sacramento, it was a perfect way to spend the day. The weather was beautiful and the game had a great ending. I very much enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family that lives so far away! I dont get to see them enough!
