What we've been up to....
We have had a busy couple months full of fun trips and adventures. Jason has been very busy with work these past couple months, at times we don't see him as much...but work has brought him to Appleton many times when we could tag along. Here we can see family and also spend more time with him at night after work instead of him being away.
We also spent a week up north at the cottage with my family. It was a lot of fun to have the kids all together for an extended period of time...and the adults had a great time too :)

We went straight from the cottage over to St. Paul, MN to celebrate with some amazing long time friends, Bri and Justin as they celebrated their wedding day. I was honored to stand up for Bri in the wedding and we had a great weekend celebrating with them. Rylan very much enjoyed the party and danced his little shoes off, much further into the night than we expected :) Eventually he crashed, but he gave it his all right up until that moment.

While in St. Paul, we had the opportunity to check out the Minnesota State Fair before making the long drive home on Sunday. It was quite a warm day, but it tired us all out for a mostly relaxing 6 hour drive home after 2 weeks of traveling.

We also took Rylan to his first Brewer's game over Labor day weekend with our annual family Brewer trip. He seemed to really enjoy all parts of the day. We made sure to have plenty to play with (water table, little car, play lawn mower, empty cooler) since we challenged all the kiddos with 2+ hours of tailgating before going into the game. Rylan actually did well and we were able to stay in our seats for about 90% of the game. He enjoyed watching the players run around, Bernie go down the slide, and of course watching for the birds flying around high above the field.

We celebrated the baptism of our God-daughter and niece, Leni Marie, last weekend. It was a nice service and the kids had a blast playing afterwards at the party. Despite the unexpected rain, it was a beautiful day!
We are starting my most favorite time of year...FALL! The cooler weather is amazing and I love the smell of my pumpkin spice candles burning. I even dragged Rylan to Starbucks the other day on our way home from the Y for a decaf pumpkin spice latte :) Our outing to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard went so well last year, I can't wait to take Rylan back when he will really be able to have a little more fun with it.
We are excited to make a trip up to Winona next week for the WSU soccer alumni game! Also looking forward the the Badger's Homecoming game in a couple weeks.
