Our little man decided that apparently we weren't paying enough attention to him already (buying tons of clothes, painting his room, ordering new furniture, reading him stories etc.) so he gave us a little scare this week. At the doctor they started to be concerned that I was no longer measuring properly for his growth and it appeared that he had suddenly fallen way behind in his growth and actually not grown at all in about 3 weeks...either that or I was not making enough amniotic fluid for him to bathe himself in :) So anyways, as our OB said, we "bought ourselves another ultrasound for measurements and tests". Waiting about 24 hours for this felt like an eternity. But today, as it turns out he is right on track, if not a little ahead in his growth (ouch). He weighs about 3 pounds 4 ounces right now and is growing great. The amniotic fluid is plentiful as well. Everything according to the tests looks great! It was definitely the first sleepless night for us on account of our new little bundle. Today we are so thankful that all is well and thankful for all the prayers of family and friends over the past 24 hours.
On the upside, they gave us another disk full of photos of our handsome man. Here is one where you can actually see his face almost straight on. You can tell he is starting to fill out those adorable cheeks :) I love that little face so much already!!
In other news, we are busily getting ready for his arrival and Jake is starting his Invisible Fence Training at the house. We very much look forward to this summer when we can let him play freely in the yard. He (and we) will enjoy this ever so much, especially after the arrival of our new little man.
