One might think we have disappeared into a dark hole due to the uncharacteristic lack of pictures and updates. I have been slacking big time on the photo taking, although we have been very busy lately. This year is proving itself to be as busy and exciting as we thought it would be.
I am busy planning Amanda's bachelorette party and shower, after having Jenn's baby shower a couple weeks ago. The semester started a couple weeks ago too and this has again reeked some havoc on my schedule :) Although i enjoy my placements and all the learning that i am doing again already, its an insane amount of hours with work on top of it! I have to keep reminding myself that this is my last semester and i will NOT be going back anytime soon if ever for my doctorate.
We have had some time for fun in the last couple weeks, although we have no proof since i have slacked on my photo taking (I know...shocking!) But last weekend I had my annual girls weekend here at the house with my old roommates and teammates from far away and Jason traveled up north for their annual guys "fishing" weekend. Although this year the did spend some time on the lake fishing and had a great time. It was a great weekend for us to reconnect with friends we don't see nearly often enough!
We also had the chance to spend some time with a very close friend, Justin, who has been home this past week from Iraq. He is leaving again tomorrow and will not be home again until August. We enjoyed having him and his girlfriend over for dinner and a night of fun; and also of course surprising him with his "surprise coming home party". We wish him the best and of course many prayers of safety. We look forward to seeing you in August.
We also have been busy continuing to do things around the house. I did finally take new pictures that have our own decor along with the new furniture and freshly painted walls (well they were fresh in November, i just haven't gotten the camera out yet). We are loving being homeowners, despite its challenges it is very rewarding and fun!
Here are some photos...finally. Click on the shutterfly link to the right with "More Pictures" tag. This will take you to all the new house pics I took. You will notice there is nothing on the walls ... yet. We are gradually getting to this and deciding what we would like where. Its hard to put the first hole in the new walls....haha.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
