Last Thursday in Winona

Well its been a while since i've put a thursday thirteen or an update of any sort....been very busy packing up things around here and tieing up any loose ends before driving outta this town for one last time on sunday. :( I guess, its a happy/sad thing, some days more happy than sad, other days more sad than happy. Been studying and finishing a prep class for the board exams i have to take to officially get my RN license. Big test, very hard, big deal...i'll leave it at that. And if i seem crabby in a few weeks you'll know why. Hopefully all the studying will pay off not just in these last couple weeks but in the past 4 years....time will tell. Spending the past couple weeks here without having any school or clinicals or soccer or work has really been nice, being able to hang out with friends and have some fun times. Had a fun night last night with Gordy, after dinner we went up to Garvin Heights (lookout over the city and river, for those of you not from winona) it was a beautiful night to see the lights and beautiful scenerey of the town. I'm going to miss Winona thats for sure...but i'll be back enough too i hope! So i decided for a Thursday 13 for my last thursday in winona i would try to have 13 things i learned in this town and while in college, so here it goes:

1. More than half of my lessons learned were OUTSIDE the classroom

2. Coffee is gooood cuz it does the trick...Caffeine is my best friend

3. More than 3 hours of sleep is considered a "good night's rest"

4. There are always two sides to an argument; listen to the other side if they're sober, laugh if they're drunk

5. If it doesn't smell....its not dirty

6. If i wear jeans, people ask me why i dressed up

7. Naps are a KEY to life...if you need one, take one!

8. If its FREE, i'll eat it

9. ANYTHING can be made into a drinking game ;)

10. I can eat cereal for an unconceivable number of meals, in a row....water can work as a milk substitute, beer cannot however

11. This life would be perfect, if it weren't for class

12. I am a professional procrastinator

13. My life will never be the same again...

a few more for the fun of it:

14. Its never too hot/cold/rainy/windy/stormy to walk downtown

15. Anything we have delivered past 2am will surly haunt us in the morning

16. No matter how late my first class is, i'll still sleep through it at least twice
