Welllll, as of today I have formally accepted an offer to work at University of Wisconsin Hospital (Madison), Childrens, in the Infant and Pediatric ICU (intensive care unit). I will begin there the middle of July, which gives me a few months after graduation to spend at home in Appleton with my family before moving to Madison. I am very excited about this job because it is the type of department I have wanted to work in for years; ever since I started nursing this is where I felt I would belong. It is also at an amazing research hospital filled with young people like myself which will be wonderful. Of course this means a new city and state, new people and friends, new apartment, new life...which is exicting but scary....but I'm not going to think about all of that now.
Just thought that I would let everyone know now that I know whats next in life for me! :) I am just very excited that I know where I am going, what I will be doing, and that it is the job I really wanted. Now I can enjoy the rest of the semester with the life long friends I've made here...with only that one big worry on the mind of every nursing student this time of year....BOARDS!!! Yikes, but oh well...the time will come and we'll be ready. Well if I plan to pass those, I suppose I should start paying attention in class here, haha. Have a spectacular Monday everyone!! Adios :)

Woohoo! This means I'm only an hour away from you instead of like 4 1/2! That is exciting. Way to go, Katie! I'm so happy for you and so excited that you know what you are going to be doing and where you will be. Love you!
