The Eve....How can it be 2006 already!!!

Well heres the first blog.....on the eve of the first of the year 2006. Resolution to keep in touch with friends and family i'll soon move away from (sadly, but knowing it will be time when the time comes). Hopefully keeping in touch with friends who i may not see as often as i like will be made easier through this. Thanks Amy for the site and the help in setting it up. congrats on setting the date also....i just can't wait, it'll be an absolute blast. Ok, so its New Years Eve morning, im sitting at work so very tired and actually bored, the lady i take care of in home health is sleeping with EWTN channel on, so here i sit trying desperately to stay awake. My girls are bringing me mcdonalds breakfast (our staple after a night out) soon, so i am whole heartedly looking forward to that. I'll have to take a nap for a while after i get out of here before i'll be ready to go tonight. I can't believe that its going to be 2006. i remember soooo long ago when i would think, "wow in 2006 im going to graduate from college....i wonder if i'll ever get there...." now i think, oh sheeeesh, im graduating and moving on to the real world....job, bills, not going out on a random tuesday night....haha, it'll all be different. but in a way im looking forward to moving on also, new things, new experiences, real job, real money, using my education, having my own things and place. meet new fun and interesting people....change is good i have to tell myself. not always easy as my parents would remind me, but a good thing in the end. with closing the door to college soon i hope that i will never close the door on the lovely people i have met while i have been here. The new year will bring new and exciting things, as well as a few months of the old. About 4 months from now is graduation, until then i look forward to many more times like the past with the best of friends from here and home. It will be filled with good times and memories. School will be winding down although prolly not slowing down. Those nursing profs keep us busier than freekin bees on caffeine pills. Busy work and more busy work an then there are three nights a week of 9 hour shifts, dont let me forget. Its busy, crazy, fun and enjoyable. I dont want to wish any of it away because i know that eventually i will look back and wonder where the time when and why i can't go back. Until then....125 days till graduation. I hope to keep you all updated on the happenings of my life here in Winona and beyond as i begin to figure out what turns my life will be taking in the next few months. I have interviews at UW Hospital in Madison, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton, and Im waiting to hear back from 2 recently applied for positions in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Anticipated graduate school beginings are spring or fall of 2007 depending on what ever else is happening in my life.

Well i better pay some more attention to the sleeping 95 year old, i think shes about to wake....fun and exciting times coming tonight with the best of friends....happy new year 2006 everyone!!!!
